A SHUTOUT WIN

Xolos Academy FC U-19 continue to fight for first place

CHULA VISTA - The Under-19 boys of the Xolos Academy FC managed a 4-0 victory against the Oceanside Breakers in the Presidio League Saturday Sept. 27.

The win improves the Xoloitzcuintles’ record to 5 wins and 1 loss. They are now tied for second place in the league table with Olympiacos-Guzman with 15 points, only four away from league leaders San Diego Soccer Institute.

Luis Paredes scored in each half to lead the team to the three points. Joseph Sum-Soto opened the scoring while Sergio Alvarez round out the scoring with a long distance shot.

“I got a little lucky on one of the goals” said Luis Paredes after the game. “The other one we worked it well as a team. I’m very happy about that.”

The young Xoloitzcuintles will be in action next Saturday Oct. 4th when Xolos Academy FC’s Under-9 visits Scripps Ranch United in a 10 a.m. kickoff.
